23-year-old woman arrested for spitting in someone’s face at a convenience store
The Quebec police arrested on Wednesday morning a 23-year-old woman who was wanted for spitting in the face of a person in a Couche-Tard convenience store on avenue d’Estimauville.
The Quebec City Police Service has just announced the arrest of this woman for assault and public nuisance, “since she would have voluntarily spit in the face of a person,” said spokesperson David Pelletier. of the SPVQ.
Quebec police have been looking for this woman since she allegedly committed this act in a convenience store, Sunday afternoon, in a Couche-Tard convenience store on avenue d’Estimauville, on the border of the Beauport and La Cité-Limoilou.
The suspect was met by investigators from the SPVQ’s General Crimes Module. She was released on a promise to appear with conditions. Her file will be submitted to the Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions (DPCP), who will determine whether criminal charges will be laid against her.
The Quebec City Police Service wanted to remind the population that “in this context of health emergency”, it takes “very seriously all situations that may put the health of the population at risk”. Offenders risk being brought to justice, warns the SPVQ.
