5 révélations sur la saison 8 de Game of Thrones par le réalisateur David Nutter

All the episodes will be more than an hour, at least !

It is he who has achieved half of the season 8 of Game of Thrones (episodes 1, 2 and 4). David Nutter has held a session of questions/answers on Reddit, yesterday. The opportunity for him to make some revelations about what awaits us for this final chapter.

1. The first episode is going to hit hard

“I’d never realised the first episode of Game of Thrones until Season 8″, he explains. “But I think it is really important to hit hard with episode 1. You will need to restart the story, put everyone back to his place and to bring them to their position. It should also be entertaining and this is the most important”.

2. It is “totally satisfied” in the end.

“I think David [Benioff] and Dan [Weiss] have done a remarkable job, and they have taken into consideration what the fans wanted, and what is just with respect to the story. I guarantee you that there will be many surprises and moments of shocking, but it is really very convincing.”

3. A lot of meetings and a reunion

“This last season was the last chance, for a lot of characters, working together for the first time. Or at least characters who had not worked together for a long time. Therefore, there was a sense of discovery, and it was very nice”.

Still a great saga of George R. R. Martin-adapted series !

4. More than an hour each time

David Nutter confirmed that each episode will exceed the bar of 60 minutes. So far, it does not confirm the rumor, ensuring that each of them will be a feature in itself. “They would turn around times the longest of the series, it is clear”.

5. In summary

“I can tell you this : hang on to your seat, because it’s going to be special”. In three words, it sums up this season 8 : “Spectacular, inspiring, and satisfying.”

We’ll do that next April, in the season 8 of Game of Thrones on HBO and in France on OCS.
