The archer will be entitled to 10 episodes of this concluding fall.

Oliver Queen is going to hang up his bow and his arrows : Arrow, flagship series of the DC Universe and the string CW for nearly a decade, will end this year after season 8 wrapped.

This is Stephen Amell in person, who announced the news on Twitter by writing: “to Play Oliver Queen was the greatest professional experience of my life. But you can’t be a vigilante forever.” The actor also revealed that Arrow will return for season 8 the final 10 episodes this fall.”

During a Facebook Live, in the wake of this, Amell said : “something tells me that even when it is finished, I will not be totally gone. If you look at the Arrowverse, you understand what I mean…”, tease the star, hinting that her character could reappear in other series for DC.

The executive producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim , and Beth Schwartz argue, however, that this was a “difficult decision to make, but like all the difficult decisions that we have taken for the past seven years, it was in the best interests ofArrow. We are comforted by the fact thatArrow has created a universe that will continue for many years. We are excited about the idea of drawing a conclusion that honours the series, its characters and its legacy and are grateful to all the writers, producers, actors”.

Actually, if Arrow will stop well in 2019, the ArrowVerse will not stop. The Flash, Supergirl and the others are not cancelled, for the time being. Moreover, it should be noted that the final season of’Arrow will end more or less at the time of the crossover giant void, which will be the “Crisis on Infinite Earth”.

In the meantime, the season 7 of’Arrow will end in may next year on the CW and France on Netflix. And the actors themselves, David Ramsey (Diggle), Juliana Harkavy (Dinah Drake), have already begun to post messages of farewell on the social networks :
