The actor made the announcement on Instagram.
This time it is really finished. In a moving video posted on Instagram, Sylvester Stallone has made it known that it will likely never be Rocky. “I thought I would have finished in 2006, and that was fine by me “, he says. “But suddenly the young man introduced himself to me and the whole story changed (…) I just want to thank everyone for having accepted the family Rocky in their lives for over 40 years (…) Even if I breaks the heart, unfortunately, everything has an expiration date of (…) The most wonderful thing is that Rocky will never die because he lives in you “.
Stallone played the character for the first time in 1976 in the aptly named Rocky, a film that he also wrote. Seven of the suites have seen the light of day since (including Creed and Creed 2) and the actor suggests that the story of Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan) is far from over.
Creed 2 will be released on 9 January in France. It is directed by Steven Caple Jr., the successor to Ryan Coogler.
