Based on the first novel non-fiction of John Grisham.
After the success of Making a Murderer and The Staircase, Netflix takes its new “True Crime Drama”. The platform will launch a new series based on the first novel non-fiction of John Grisham, entitled The Accused (The Innocent Man: Murder and Injustice in a Small Town in VO), which will be released on December 14th.
Just called The Innocent Man on Netflix, the docu-series in six episodes will focus on two murders committed in a small town in Oaklahoma in the 1980s, those of Debbie Carter in 1982 and Denice Haraway in 1984, and the unfair sentencing that followed.
John Grisham has shared on Twitter a first teaser (below), with this comment : “If I had written this story as a novel, people would probably not believe them !”
