Scientists: the Colonization of Mars could threaten human civilization

Scientists from Canada believe attempt the colonization of Mars is meaningless, because the catastrophic consequences on Earth.

Researchers from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, led by Professor Adam Morton believe that the possible colonization of humans on another planet would require huge amounts of automation and the creation of more complex forms of artificial intelligence. Scientists believe that people with the desire to conquer Mars will be dependent on computer systems, which will inevitably lead to disaster and the rebellion of robots against humans.

Another problem lies in the fact that humanity creates environmental mess on Earth. According to the estimates of Professor Morton, more than 10,000 rocket launches needed to start a viable colonization, will have a profound impact on our environment and on the quality of life of earthlings.
