Singer Christophe hospitalized for “respiratory failure”
The singer Christophe, 74, was hospitalized in Paris and admitted to intensive care because of “respiratory failure” said his entourage to AFP on Sunday, confirming information from the newspaper Le Parisien.
“In the current context, we are obviously worried. We are unable to confirm whether it has tested positive for COVID-19, ”says Laurent Castanié, show producer. Le Parisien claims that the author of Mots Bleus has tested positive for the coronavirus.
The composer of Aline was “admitted Thursday evening in a Parisian hospital”, explains Mr. Castanié. “From medical sources, his condition is currently stable and he is very well supervised and monitored by the medical staff,” he continues.
“We ask everyone to respect their privacy and not to disturb the medical services of Paris hospitals which are far too busy at the moment,” he concludes.
The composer is always in tune with the times, as evidenced by his recent albums Christophe, etc., volumes 1 and 2, released last year, where he resumed his standards with performers of all generations.
His hospitalization moved on social networks. “All my wishes for a speedy recovery,” posted Michel Polnareff.
