Temporary infertility: scientists have created a new male contraception

Временное бесплодие: ученые создали новую мужскую контрацепцию

Chinese specialists are working on creating a new male contraceptive method.

In particular, researchers from the University Nanchang offer to carry a special injection in testicles of males, reports the Daily Mail.

The effectiveness of the method has already been successfully tested on mice. Males could not beget offspring for two months until the drug dissolved.

In the study, scientists hooked up to the testicles of rodents a special catheter, through which is led a mixture of multilayer chemicals that clog the tubules of the testes.

Then, to remove the effect, the scientists shone on the testicles infrared light, chemicals, activated and mixed. So birth control has no effect.

The method is based on the use of gold particles and two kinds of chemical substances, which together form a four-layered cocktail. It includes hydrogel which does not allow sperm to leave the testicles. It is separated by a layer of gold particles from the chemical EDTA, which kills the sperm, and then destroys the hydrogel, when the effect of contraception is.

How does male contraception

Professor Shaolei Wang (Wang Xiaolei) and his colleagues hope to be able to create the world’s first effective male birth control drug.

At present, options for male contraception are presented only condoms or irreversible vasectomy.

Chinese researchers say that more tests to confirm that the ingredients are safe for use in humans.

If this technique will be successful human trials, it will help millions of men who want to use alternative methods of contraception.

Recall that American doctors are working on a new contraception for men.

As reported by the portal “Znayu” Dutch researchers from Leiden University Medical Centre found the cause of constant migraines in men.

Also “Znayu” I wrote that the constant stress at work reduces the likelihood of pregnancy in women by 25 %.
