FaceTime on iPhone
A recent problem with privacy group FaceTime calls can have far-reaching consequences for Apple. And although the company has corrected this error by running an unscheduled update for all devices, the scandal still not fully subsided.
So, the Committee of the house of representatives (U.S. Congress) on energy and Commerce sent a letter to Apple’s CEO Tim cook. The letter States that the Committee is “deeply concerned” that Apple took so long to listen to the notification 14-year-old Grant Thompson and his mother Michelle when they tried to inform the company of the error in Group FaceTime.
The Committee also wants to know when Tim cook learned about the problem, and why so long it hasn’t been fixed. The letter also contains a request for Tim cook to release information on whether there are any undisclosed errors associated with the microphones and cameras of the Apple devices that were discovered but not yet fixed. It’s possible that Apple will be forced to compensate users a bad situation, if it is proven that hacking users.
Recall that the digital music service Spotify is planning to block the accounts of millions of users. Apparently, the company does not want users turned on the ad blocker. Yes, this service provides advertising for users of the free version. It is worth noting that these users are clearly more than a million.
