Airline “International airlines of Ukraine” has stated that it plans to amend the schedule of its flights for the summer season. The main reason for the change was the delay of deliveries of Boeing 737 MAX, which was supposed to start work at the regular UIA flights from mid-April.
Due to the fact that the operation of this type of aircraft is suspended until the investigation is completed, the delivery of three Boeing 737 MAX for UIA is postponed for unknown period of time.
Due to the lack of already planned for this period aircraft airline changes the schedule of their flights. The changes will affect such areas as Athens, Istanbul and Yerevan on the MAU will reduce the number of its flights.
At the same time flights between Kiev and Vinnytsia will be fully canceled. Flights in this direction were performed EMBRAER ERJ 145, but what does Boeing 737 MAX, the company doesn’t specify.
In addition, in April-June is expected to cancel some flights from Kiev to Zaporozhye, Kherson, Ivano-Frankivsk, Baku, Minsk, Riga, Geneva, Amman and Ankara. Passengers affected by schedule changes, receive alerts and offers with an alternative date of departure or routes.
According to the Agency, canceled, and other flights planned for the summer schedule, but never announced (although they are in the internal database of the UIA).
“Due to unforeseen circumstances which led to failures in the supply of aircraft, we were forced to make changes to already made up its summer flight schedule. To provide the opportunity for passengers to reach the destination, MAU redistributes the existing fleet. All schedule changes are reflected in the reservation system. Flights that are not cancelled will be fulfilled by the airline. In the case of an optional point adjustment, we will promptly inform the market about these changes,” said communications Director of the UIA Eugene Satskaya.
Recall that Ukraine International airlines change the rules of passenger transportation. From now on passengers will pay for the change of seats in the cabin during online check-in.
As reported by the portal Znayu, Ukraine International airlines issued menu that will be offered to passengers during the flight.
The portal also Znayu wrote that at the end of October 2019, a popular low-cost airline Ryanair plans to open new flights Kharkov-Poznan, Odessa-Poznan.
